BKK Trailer Hook

Product Benefits

Designed for anglers who want to turn more strikes into landed fish, the BKK Trailer Hook is a trailer hook made to complement a spinnerbait for black bass fishing. Its purpose is simple: position itself behind the main frame to increase the hook-up ratio when fish strike short, nip the skirt, or only take part of the lure. With an efficiency-focused design, it fits easily on most spinnerbaits on the market and helps secure better hooksets without complicating your rig.

The key strength of this model is its balance of hold, penetration, and ease of use. The hook can be used with the included retention accessories to stay properly aligned during the cast and retrieve. This gives you a clean, consistent, and better-controlled setup, helping your spinnerbait present more steadily and reducing unwanted movement of the additional hook.

Product Advantages and Key Features

Improves efficiency on short strikes: by adding an extra hook point behind the spinnerbait, the Trailer Hook helps land fish that only hit without fully engulfing the lure. It is a key advantage when fish are tentative, pressured, or striking from the side.

Optimized penetration: the Super Slide coating is designed to reduce friction and make it easier for the point to enter. Combined with a very sharp needle point, it promotes fast and effective hooksets, especially when the bite is short.

Stable, clean rigging: using silicone keepers helps hold the hook in a consistent position during casting and retrieve. The result: less unwanted movement, a more regular presentation, and more comfortable use over time.

Flexible rigging: the included silicone accessories let you adapt the setup to your fishing style, your spinnerbait, and your preferences, while keeping the same simple goal: secure alignment and holding power.

Usage Tips

Slide the trailer hook onto the ring or designated frame of the spinnerbait, then choose the retention option best suited to your needs. For better stability, use the silicone keepers to limit rotation or slipping during casting. Make sure the setup remains fluid so the lure swims naturally without restricting the spinnerbait’s action.

To maximize effectiveness, regularly inspect the point and the condition of the silicone components, especially after several fish or when fishing through heavy cover. A properly positioned and well-aligned hook improves hook-setting consistency and reduces the risk of losing fish on a light bite.
