Product advantages and highlights
The Devaux BODYROND stands out for its unmatched realism, perfectly imitating the structure and natural sheen of aquatic insect bodies. Its flexibility makes it easy for tyers to work with, even for fine, precise windings, and its stretch capacity prevents breakage or fraying during tying. The thread's translucent structure amplifies mimicry by interacting with light underwater, fooling trout, grayling and other wary fish. This thread is also extremely versatile, delivering excellent results for nymph bodies, midges, and other patterns requiring a segmented appearance.

Usage tips and recommended patterns
To get the most from Devaux BODYROND, we recommend using it on hooks suited to the type of fly being tied. For nymphs and midges, perform tight windings starting from the hook bend up to the eye to create a homogeneous, segmented body. The thread adapts perfectly to classic leaded heads, micro-jigs, or straight hooks. Maintaining consistent tension produces the sought-after segmented look. To enhance the result, pair BODYROND with an underlayer of tying thread or a shiny thread to exploit its unique translucency.
