Benefits and product strengths

The Devaux Caddis/Sedge Fly JBP16 is renowned for the fidelity of its details, replicating each vein, color and sheen of the natural caddisfly. This exceptional imitation fools even the most cautious fish. Its robustness ensures durability that outperforms most flies on the market. Easy to cast and highly visible on the surface, it remains stable even in fast water or windy conditions.

The JBP16 also features a flexible yet strong construction that resists deformation over repeated casts, while its versatility allows many leader and tippet configurations. Whether at dusk, during mass hatches, or during daylight on challenging lies, it proves effective in all conditions.

Usage tips and recommended rigs

To maximize the JBP16’s attraction, favor a fine, supple leader that ensures the most natural presentation possible. A slow drift, just on the surface, will highlight its unmatched realism. It is recommended to use it on a "dead drift", imitating the natural drift of the sedge. In a tandem setup with a light nymph used as a dropper, it increases the chances of subtle takes. Its effectiveness is formidable at evening rises or when targeting active surface-feeding fish.
