Usage tips and recommended patterns :
To get the most out of your Devaux LANCETTES XS feathers, favor tying on thin hooks size 18 to 22 to faithfully reproduce the smallest insects. Use a discreet tying thread to maintain the desired lightness. Combine the feathers with light dubbing bodies or natural silk for an even more realistic result. For optimal flotation, opt for a discreet head and a light water-repellent treatment on the finished fly. These feathers are particularly well suited to delicate sight-fishing techniques and precise drifts in rivers. Their suppleness also facilitates tying dense collars, ideal for light to moderate currents.
