Product benefits and strengths :

The Devaux LASTSKIN sheet stands out for its versatility and its ability to faithfully reproduce the natural aspects sought after in fly tying. Its elastic composition provides exceptional resistance to stretching, allowing you to form segmented bodies or robust shells that hold perfectly in place. Its pearlescent effect enhances the realism of imitations and increases underwater visibility, improving the effectiveness of your flies by adding extra attraction for fish. The key feature of this product lies in the subtlety of its finish: each sheet is treated to minimize overly bright reflections while enhancing translucency, differentiating it clearly from conventional materials on the market. Finally, its great ease of use makes it an asset for both beginners and seasoned tiers.

Usage tips and recommended patterns :

For optimal performance, cut the Devaux LASTSKIN sheet into thin strips using sharp scissors, then position them by hand or with a bobbin holder depending on the pattern. Perfectly suited for creating segmented bodies (nymphs, chironomids, gammarus), it works easily on any hook size. Usage is simple: secure the strip on the hook shank, wrap carefully, and fasten with a fine tying thread for impeccable hold. For patterns requiring transparency and durability (chironomid wing sacs, gammarus backs with penciling, etc.), LASTSKIN reveals its full potential on nymphs and aquatic imitations. Consider applying varnish or a top coat to enhance the longevity of the final finish.
