Benefits and key strengths of the product:
Thanks to its highly detailed sedge imitation, the 436CP easily fools trout, grayling and other freshwater species that can be selective. It delivers a natural presentation in the surface film where fish are usually most cautious.
This fly stands out for its subtle balance of realism and durability, producing more takes even under challenging conditions. The reliable hook anchoring increases your success rate on the strike. Its lightness combined with controlled buoyancy makes it ideal for fishing in stronger currents or low-visibility waters. The 436CP also benefits from Devaux’s artisanal build quality, a guarantee of consistency and dependability for demanding enthusiasts.
Usage tips and recommended setups:
To fully exploit the potential of the Devaux CADDIS/SEDGE FLY 436CP, favor long, tapered leaders for a discreet presentation. Pair this fly with a fine front taper to enable a natural drift. Ideal to place at the end of a current seam or on calm water edges near weed beds, it can be given slight animation to mimic a drifting caddisfly. Its effectiveness peaks during sedge hatches, in the evening or on overcast days. For added buoyancy, a light dressing on the wing can be applied before fishing.
