Usage tips and recommended rigs :
To maximize the effectiveness of your Devaux Terrestrial Cricket Flies, it is recommended to use a fine fluorocarbon tippet to fine-tune presentation. Favor a lightweight dry fly head to ensure a delicate, natural landing on the water. The ideal techniques are the parachute presentation or upstream cast, which faithfully reproduce the fall of a terrestrial insect onto the surface. These flies can also be used in tandem with a light nymph to combine surface attractivity and subsurface fishing, especially in spring and summer during mass terrestrial insect hatchings.
