Advantages and key features of the Devaux TOP GRADE DYED Rooster Cape:
Professional and experienced fly tiers appreciate this product for its many strengths. The dyed Indian rooster cape offers remarkable feather density, enabling efficient production of many dry flies and emergers. The refinement and quality of the barbs ensure excellent flotation and outstanding wear resistance. The natural suppleness of the fibers, combined with their strength, allows easy attachment to the hook and great longevity for your creations. The vivid, long-lasting color palette, specially developed by Devaux, enhances imitation realism and supports both classic and innovative patterns.

Usage tips and recommended tie patterns:
To optimize your tying, select feathers according to the hook size. For dry flies, prefer finer fibers to maximize flotation. Tiers will appreciate the ease of wrapping these feathers around the hook: they secure firmly without slipping and resist tearing. The TOP GRADE DYED cape adapts perfectly to all recognized tying techniques, from palmering to traditional collars, and suits both general patterns and specific montages for trout or grayling. For neat ties, use standard tying tools (hackle pliers, fine scissors, tying thread).
