3. Benefits and product highlights

Devaux Tungsten Copper Beads are prized for their ideal weight, allowing a fly to sink quickly even in strong currents. Tungsten, much denser than brass or lead, provides effective weighting without increasing the size of the fly. The result: increased stealth and a natural presentation that can fool the most selective fish.

The copper finish is not only aesthetic: it produces attractive flashes often decisive for salmonids. These beads are also rustproof and long-lasting; your tying gear remains effective year after year. Finally, the precision machining and the handy storage box simplify selection and handling, even when tying in series.

4. Usage tips and recommended rigs

For optimal effectiveness, choose Devaux copper tungsten beads when tying nymphs intended for fast water or deep fishing. They thread easily onto all types of nymph, jig or streamer hooks. Using a standard leaded head or a parallel rig helps ensure stability and correct balance of the fly.
Try pairing these beads with natural materials (hairs, feathers) to enhance the realistic look of your imitations. For the best results, use magnified tying techniques to position the bead precisely at the head of the fly and ensure an attractive swim.

6. FAQ and additional information

• Can these beads be used on all types of hooks? Yes, their machined opening fits the majority of common models used in fly tying.

• Does the copper finish wear off over time? No, the copper coating resists abrasion and water very well, ensuring long service life.

• How do they differ from brass or lead beads? Tungsten offers much higher density for effective weighting without increasing volume.

By choosing Devaux copper tungsten beads, you invest in reliability, durability and remarkable effectiveness for your fly tying, while ensuring optimized storage thanks to their neat packaging.
