DUO Metal Garage Plate Vib Blade Lure 26 g

Product highlights

The DUO Metal Garage Plate Vib is a vibrating blade specifically engineered to deliver remarkable casting distances while maintaining a stable and attractive action. Designed by the Japanese brand DUO, it is aimed at anglers who want to cover large water surfaces quickly, from the bank or boat, without compromising vibration quality.

Thanks to its construction as a compact, dense metal lure, this blade slices through wind and remains accurate even in difficult conditions. It allows reaching distant, often less-fished areas where wary predators hold. Its streamlined shape reduces wind drag while generating a high vibration frequency from the first turns of the reel.

The Metal Garage Plate Vib also stands out for its great versatility in animation. Depending on the attachment point used, it adapts to fast prospecting with steady retrieves as well as to slower saw-tooth (stop-and-go) animations, or to vertical fishing over fish schools. This flexibility makes it a relevant choice for predator fishing on varied spots and in many configurations.

Advantages and key strengths

The primary advantage of the Metal Garage Plate Vib lies in its ability to reach very long casting distances relative to its size. This allows prospecting distant marks, offshore breaks, shallow banks that are hard to reach, or windy zones. Bank anglers particularly appreciate this ability to gain a few decisive meters.

Its second strength is the richness of its vibrations. Even at moderate retrieval speed, the blade emits intense signals that trigger predator aggression. This vibratory signature makes it effective in both clear and stained water when visibility is reduced.

The presence of multiple attachment points offers real added versatility. Using the forward-most point produces a tighter action and fast linear prospecting, ideal for sweeping large areas or following shorelines. Choosing a more dorsal attachment point yields a more pronounced action, perfectly suited to saw-tooth animations that alternate pulls and pauses to provoke following fish.

The Metal Garage Plate Vib is also very effective in vertical fishing. By letting it fall near the bottom, then performing rod lifts followed by controlled drops, the angler can precisely exploit feeding fish holding in the water column. This dual capability – cast-and-retrieve and vertical – makes it a strategic lure to adapt to activity changes during a single outing.

Finally, DUO’s build quality ensures good durability and reliable performance. Anglers, whether beginners or experienced, benefit from a high-performing, easy-to-use tool effective on many predator species.

Usage tips

To fully exploit the potential of this vibrating blade, adapt the animation to current conditions. For fast prospecting, a steady medium-speed retrieve with occasional bursts will trigger reflex strikes from active fish. Keep constant contact with the lure to feel its characteristic vibration.

When fish are more cautious or hugging the bottom, favor a saw-tooth (jerk-and-fall) animation: cast, let it fall to the desired depth, then alternate rod pulls and controlled pauses. The lure will plane and vibrate on the rise, then fall in a fluttering motion, often provoking strikes.

In vertical fishing, position yourself above the target area, let the Metal Garage Plate Vib sink near the bottom, then perform short repetitive lifts. Watch the line closely during the descent phases, as many strikes occur then.

For better efficiency, pair this blade with a line suited to scratching and fast animations, favoring a sensitive outfit that transmits vibrations well. A discreet but strong leader will resist abrasion and predator teeth.

FAQ

Question 1: Which predator species is this metal lure intended for?

Answer: The Metal Garage Plate Vib is designed to target a wide range of predators that respond well to vibrating blades, whether they patrol near the bottom, in open water, or along edges.

Question 2: Is this vibrating blade suitable for beginner anglers?

Answer: Yes, its use is intuitive on steady retrieves while offering more technical animation options for experienced anglers. It’s an excellent lure for progressing.

Question 3: Can this lure be used from shore as well as from a boat?

Answer: Absolutely. Its long casting capability makes it an asset from the bank, while its stability and pronounced vibrations are equally effective when fishing from a boat, especially for vertical techniques.
