Floating Lure DUO Realis Fangbait 120 DR SW LTD - 12 cm

Product benefits

The DUO Realis Fangbait 120 DR is a deep-diving hard minnow specifically engineered to quickly reach deep zones where predators hold. The "deep runner" version of the famous Fangbait line, it offers a stable, controlled swim for both casting-and-retrieving and trolling.

Its elongated lip allows it to reach depths of about 2 to 2.8 m while keeping a pronounced roll and strong vibration to trigger strikes from following fish. Built to withstand high trolling speeds—up to approximately 8 knots—this predator lure stays true on track and does not come off-line even in strong currents or during fast retrieves.

True to the Japanese brand's craftsmanship, the DUO Realis Fangbait 120 DR features refined finishing, optimized internal balance, and a sturdy armature, making it a go-to tool for confidently targeting powerful predators.

Advantages and key strengths

One of the main assets of the DUO Realis Fangbait 120 DR is its versatility. It can be used from shore or from a boat, in straight retrieves or trolling, making it ideal to quickly cover large areas and different depths from mid to deep. Its deep lip lets it descend quickly to the targeted water layer while reducing unhooks during accelerations.

Its high-speed stability is especially appreciated by anglers who practice predator trolling. Even when accelerating up to about 8 knots, the lure keeps a straight trajectory and steady swim—crucial when fish are dispersed or highly active.

Thanks to its refined profile and internal weighting, the Fangbait 120 DR casts long and accurately. This allows prospecting distant spots, sharp drop-offs, rock heads or baitfish schools without spooking fish. Its robust rigging secures hooksets and reduces unhooks even in heavy fights.

Usage tips

To get the most from the Realis Fangbait 120 DR when casting, perform a steady retrieve with intermittent pauses, small jerks and speed changes. These variations create swimming deviations that often trigger strikes from following predators.

For trolling, let the lure reach its working depth by letting out line gradually, then stabilize the boat speed. Alternate faster and slower trolling phases to explore different water layers and adapt presentation to fish activity. Speeds up to about 8 knots are supported, enabling quick coverage of large distances.

Adjust your leader diameter and the length of your mainline/leader setup according to the species sought and potential obstacles. A discreet, well-balanced rig will improve the swim of this hard predator lure and optimize results.

FAQ

Question 1: Is this lure better for casting or trolling?

Answer: The Realis Fangbait 120 DR was designed to perform in both uses. Its stable swim makes it very effective for trolling, including at sustained speeds, while its ability to dive quickly and produce strong vibration also makes it deadly for casting-and-retrieving. It is therefore aimed at anglers seeking a genuinely versatile deep-diving lure.
