Advantages and strengths

The primary strength of the DUO Tide Minnow 175 Slim lies in its casting ability. Its elongated form and internal weighting reduce wind resistance and allow for significant distance. This is a major advantage for reaching distant feeding frenzies, remote rocky edges or areas difficult to access from shore.

Its swimming action is another decisive advantage. On a simple, steady retrieve, this minnow lure displays an attractive rolling and wobbling motion, even at low speed. Predators can thus be triggered without resorting to complex animations. This ease of use makes it a versatile lure, ideal for quickly covering a prospecting area or focusing on a promising spot.

The size of the Tide Minnow 175 Slim allows targeting larger specimens while maintaining a credible presentation for medium to large forage fish. It’s an excellent choice for anglers who want to increase the average size of their catches without sacrificing the number of strikes.

Finally, DUO’s manufacturing quality ensures excellent durability of the lure, even in harsh conditions. Materials are chosen to withstand impacts, the teeth of predators and regular use. It’s a long-lasting investment for anglers seeking a high-end hard bait they can rely on season after season.

Usage tips

The DUO Tide Minnow 175 Slim performs best on a steady retrieve. Cast the lure beyond the area to be prospected, let it reach its running depth, then retrieve at a regular speed. This simple animation is sufficient in most situations to provoke predator strikes.

To vary presentations, alternate retrieval speeds or add brief pauses. Light rod twitches (twitches) can slightly offset the action, simulating an injured or panicked fish. This variation can convince wary or inactive fish.

Adjust retrieve speed to fish activity and current conditions: faster retrieves to excite active predators, slower when fish are cautious or sluggish. Don’t hesitate to test different cadences over the same area.

This minnow hard bait is particularly effective for working shorelines, rock heads, gently sloping beaches or moderate current zones. Use a leader appropriate to the power of the targeted fish and regularly check your setup to maintain optimal action.
