FOX Frontier II - Deluxe Extension Camo

Product Benefits

Designed to enlarge and improve the comfort of a bivvy, this bivvy extension is aimed at anglers who want a more practical, better protected, and more versatile front area. It creates extra space at the entrance, ideal for organizing gear, cooking under cover, putting on rainwear, or simply enjoying a more comfortable porch during long sessions. The overall design provides advanced protection that helps limit direct exposure to sun and bad weather while maintaining smooth access to the swim.

Its key strength is the combination of a functional porch and an overwrap designed to improve comfort inside the bivvy: better perceived insulation, more effective condensation management, and a more finished shelter feel. The design focuses on modularity: you can adjust the closure, ventilation, and opening according to the weather, season, and activity on the swim, without wasting time taking everything down.

Benefits and Key Product Advantages

This fishing shelter extension immediately improves day-to-day bivvy use: you gain a practical buffer zone between the outside and the inside, which helps keep the sleeping area cleaner and better organized. In changeable weather, the modular panels let you prioritize either protection (more closed setup) or airflow and visibility (more open setup), with interchangeable elements to promote air circulation and limit the greenhouse effect.

The double-skin overwrap is especially appreciated on cool nights and humid mornings: it contributes to a more stable atmosphere and less troublesome condensation. The supplied groundsheet reinforces the “base camp” feel by creating a clean area for bags, boots, buckets, small furniture, or luggage, while also providing better protection for the inner floor.

Finally, the setup is designed to be efficient on the swim: the Velcro strap and D-Loop fastening system helps achieve a neat, quick, and well-secured pitch, which matters when you need to adapt fast (late arrival, wind, rain, changing swims).

Usage Tips

To get the most from the extension, pitch it on as level a surface as possible and gradually tension the anchor points to achieve even tightness. In damp conditions, choose a more ventilated setup (mosquito mesh panels or partial opening) to help moisture escape. In hot weather, use the porch as a shaded area and keep air flowing through for better comfort.

After the session, allow it to dry as much as possible before packing away. If you must store it damp, unfold and dry it as soon as possible to preserve the durability of the overwrap and keep any odours neutral. Clean mud from the groundsheet and the lower edges of the panels to avoid abrasion during transport.
