Product highlights
The
DUO Drag Metal SS Blade is a
versatile metal blade jig specially developed for fast and efficient fishing. Inspired by the renowned Drag Metal Cast Super Slim, it keeps a slim silhouette that cuts through the air to deliver impressive casting distances, while adding a rotating blade for extra visual and vibratory attraction.
This lure stands out for its ability to cover large areas in minimum time. Its compact shape reduces wind resistance and offers excellent flight stability, allowing fishing on distant spots from shore as well as over wide flats or drops from a boat.
In the water, the
Drag Metal SS Blade combines the tight action of a jig with the light-stimulating effect of a Colorado blade. The flashes it emits mimic the glints of fleeing baitfish, triggering reflex strikes from predators. This dual visual and vibratory signature makes this model a top choice when fish are wary or feeding on schools of small prey.
Thanks to its low lift, this
metal blade jig sinks quickly through the water column and remains easy to control, even with lighter weights and fine lines. It adapts equally well to fast mid-water retrieves and vertical fishing in deep water.

Advantages and key strengths
The primary advantage of the
DUO Drag Metal SS Blade lies in its ability to reach exceptional casting distances. Its narrow silhouette and refined profile reduce airborne drag, making it possible to reach distant feedings, isolated rockheads or hard-to-access zones without approaching by boat.
In the water, this
metal blade jig offers a highly realistic presentation: the body density imitates a small wounded fish that falls or escapes, while the blade amplifies visual signals. Even in low light or stained water, the produced flashes remain visible and help attract attention from afar.
Another major asset is its animation versatility. It can be retrieved quickly near the surface to imitate a panic-stricken fish, worked with pulls to comb the mid-water, or fished vertically to target fish holding near the bottom. This adaptability makes it an excellent choice for anglers who want to cover multiple situations with a single lure type.
Finally, the low lift of the
Drag Metal SS Blade makes it easy to use with fine lines and modest weights, even at great depths. It stays responsive to subtle rod action and allows precise contact with the lure, significantly improving bite detection.
Usage tips
To get the best from the
DUO Drag Metal SS Blade, adapt the animation to depth and fish activity:
- Shore fishing: perform long casts, let it sink to the desired depth then animate with a retrieve of varying speed punctuated by pulls and pauses to alternate flashes and fall phases.
- Boat fishing: fish vertically by letting the lure descend to the depth identified on the sounder, then animate with small rod twitches or larger pulls to trigger strikes on the fall and on the rise.
- Challenging conditions: in cold, clear or heavily fished water, favor slower animations with long controlled fall phases to give predators time to intercept the lure.
Use an appropriate leader and regularly check knots and terminal tackle, especially when strikes are powerful. A taut retrieve on the fall helps feel subtle bites and set the hook effectively.
FAQ
