Product highlights
The MARRYAT Tactical HX fly rod is a benchmark for demanding anglers who want to combine high-level performance with ease of transport. Conceived as a premium travel edition, this rod pairs refined finishing, high reliability and a well-controlled power reserve. It is intended for fly anglers who require a tool capable of casting accurately at all distances while maintaining an excellent feel for the line and the fish.
Thanks to a high-performance aerospace-grade carbon technology, the Tactical HX series offers a remarkably light and lively blank without harshness. The complex multidirectional fiber geometry almost completely eliminates parasitic "spring" in the rod and provides a smooth, fast recovery after each cast. This design reduces fatigue during long fishing days and improves repeatability of motion, even for the most technical casts.
The Tactical HX travel fly rod is supplied in a sturdy aluminum travel tube designed to hold multiple rods and protect your gear during transit. Each rod is numbered and benefits from a full 2-year warranty covering breakage for any reason. A major advantage for itinerant anglers who heavily use their equipment in the field.

Benefits and strengths
The MARRYAT Tactical HX stands out for its ability to make casts more accessible and more accurate, whether fishing dry flies, nymphs or using more technical rigs. The blank responds immediately to angler input without generating unnecessary vibration, allowing delicate fly presentation and very precise control of line speed and trajectory. Longer distances become easier to reach, while short casts gain in discretion and accuracy.
This travel fly rod also excels in versatility during fishing. It easily accommodates a wide range of casting styles: traditional false casts, roll casts, backhand casts, powerful shoots, mending and curved presentations. The angler can quickly adapt to river configurations, shifting winds and wary fish without feeling like they're fighting the rod. Comfort of use, blank stability and component quality make it a reliable tool for occasional outings as well as intensive trips.
Usage advice
To get the most from the Tactical HX rod, pair it with a balanced reel and a quality line that matches your fishing style. Pay attention to leader selection and adjust tippet length according to water clarity and fish wariness. In action, let the rod work: exploit the blank's progressive nature rather than forcing it, to fully benefit from its power reserve and casting precision.
After each outing, especially if you fished in aggressive environments (mineralized water, dust, sand), rinse the rod briefly with fresh water, dry it thoroughly and store it in its aluminum tube. Regularly check the condition of the guides and ferrules to maintain perfect line glide and avoid any play. Careful use and regular maintenance will significantly extend the life of your MARRYAT fly rod.
