Product Highlights
The Myran Myrmecia embodies the most refined side of the Myran brand: a rod designed as a tribute to classic lines and meticulous craftsmanship. Its inspiration from traditional Japanese aesthetics results in a clean, balanced, and elegant silhouette, where every component choice aims to combine timeless beauty with modern precision.
At the heart of this series is a 36T high-modulus carbon blank engineered to deliver excellent feedback. This increased sensitivity makes it easier to read the bottom, detect subtle bites, and control the lure during slow presentations. The overall build remains very lightweight to reduce fatigue during long sessions, especially in finesse fishing where concentration and precision make the difference.
The full AAA cork handle provides a natural, comfortable feel, especially when fishing at a slow pace or working with micro-movements. The custom reel seat, with wood inlay and silver details, reinforces the premium character of the rod while ensuring a stable hold on the reel, which is essential for maintaining a consistent and well-aligned setup.
The SeaGuide XOHG guides with titanium finish contribute to smooth line flow and overall durability. The goal is clear: deliver a responsive and reliable rod capable of fighting fish cleanly while protecting light rigs.

Benefits and Key Strengths
The signature of the Myrmecia is its balance between softness and precision. Its softer, more forgiving action absorbs head shakes and helps secure hooksets with fine-wire hooks, while still delivering clean line control. This progressive action is ideal for anglers who prioritize lure control, natural presentation, and fine tension management.
Thanks to its 36T blank, the rod transmits useful information without becoming demanding. It stands out for its graceful feel: the rod follows the angler's movement, improves casting consistency, and helps place light rigs accurately. During retrieve, the feedback is crisp, allowing you to stay connected to the lure and react better to subtle takes.
The attention given to materials and finishes is not purely aesthetic. The AAA cork and custom reel seat provide a stable, comfortable grip that suits finesse fishing. SeaGuide XOHG guides support smooth line travel, which promotes accuracy and consistent performance both while casting and fighting fish. In the end, you get a elegant, sensitive, and responsive rod that stays true to the Myran spirit.
Usage Tips
The finesse spinning rod Myrmecia is especially effective with light lures and rigs, when presentation and discretion matter most. Fish with steady line tension and short, controlled movements: soft lifts, pauses, micro-twitches, or a simple slow pull depending on conditions. The parabolic action helps maintain contact and reduce lost fish, especially when bites are tentative.
To preserve performance, check the guides regularly and rinse the rod if it has been exposed to dirt or spray. Store it dry and protected from impacts to maintain the quality of the finishes and the longevity of the cork.
