Its design emphasizes balance and stability to maintain an attractive action even in strong currents or during fast retrieves. Used with steady cast-and-retrieve or with more technical twitches, the Spearhead Ryuki imitates an excited baitfish, making it a very versatile predator lure.
Robust and well armed, it withstands repeated fights with powerful fish. Anglers targeting both coastal bass and large river trout or asp particularly appreciate its adaptability across many environments and techniques. This is a versatile minnow lure that fits easily into any lure box.

Advantages and strengths
The main strength of the DUO Spearhead Ryuki lies in its saltwater and freshwater versatility. It allows anglers to switch easily from a coastal session to a day on a river or lake without changing lure types. Whether you specialise in bass or target trout in fast flows, you have a single tool capable of covering a wide range of situations.
Its action, designed to remain stable while remaining incisive, creates attractive vibrations that trigger strikes both on steady retrieves and with more pronounced animations. This ability to stay effective at different speeds makes it a particularly reassuring lure for bass and trout, including for anglers new to minnow lures.
DUO build quality ensures a reliable and durable hard lure. Materials and armament are chosen to resist predator teeth and repeated mechanical stresses: heavy casts, strong hooks sets and fights in current. This reliability lets anglers fish with confidence and focus on prospecting rather than equipment durability.
Finally, the variety of available colours allows quick presentation adjustments depending on water clarity, light and fish activity: natural shades for clear water, bolder or contrasting colours when conditions are tougher. This provides a true range around a single model, simplifying the composition of an efficient, coherent lure box.
Usage tips
To get the best from the Spearhead Ryuki, use it on a light to medium spinning or casting outfit matched with braid or monofilament appropriate for the target species. A discreet, strong leader, such as fluorocarbon, will enhance a natural presentation and reduce breakage risk.
In saltwater, this bass minnow casts well from shore or boat. Vary retrieve speeds: start with a steady cast-and-retrieve to locate active fish, then introduce pauses, sharp twitches and speed changes to trigger strikes from following or wary fish.
In freshwater, the lure for trout, perch and asp performs well in currents, runs, margins and near breaklines. Let the lure work in the flow, follow it with the rod and animate with short impulses to simulate an injured baitfish. Adjust retrieve speed to water temperature and fish activity to boost effectiveness.
Finally, adjust the size of your snaps and swivels: oversized accessories can impede the lure's freedom of action. Quality, discreet components will preserve the intended animation designed by DUO.
