Product highlights
The Smith Pure wobbling spoon is a long-standing favorite for anglers seeking a versatile metal lure that performs in many situations. Its refined design gets it working immediately upon entering the water, maximizing useful fishing time on every cast. Thanks to its wide, regular action it triggers bites both during steady retrieves and during pauses or subtle twitches.
This lure for trout and other predators is prized for its ability to entice educated fish that are often wary of standard presentations. The spoon's carefully shaped profile produces roll and bright flashes that convincingly imitate a small distressed fish. Even at low retrieval speeds, the Smith Pure maintains a stable, vibrating action, making it an excellent choice for slow fishing in cold water or when fish are inactive.
Another major advantage is that the Smith Pure casts easily and accurately. Its compact profile and optimized balance deliver excellent casting performance, even in windy conditions. Anglers can efficiently cover edges, holes, current seams and more distant zones without excessive effort.

Benefits and strengths
The Smith Pure spoon stands out for its great versatility. It excels in river and lake fishing, whether in strong current, shallow riffles or calmer, deeper zones. Anglers can rapidly cover large areas while maintaining excellent control of depth and action.
Its highly responsive action makes it an ideal lure for locating active fish along banks, breaks or near obstacles. By allowing it to sink slightly before retrieving, you can prospect mid-depth layers and holes where wary fish often hold. A slower retrieve with short rod twitches enhances the spoon's flutter and can provoke reflex strikes.
The Smith Pure range is also appreciated for its ease of use. It suits beginners—who benefit from an effective action without complex adjustments—as well as experienced anglers looking to fine-tune their presentation. Small changes in speed, depth or trajectory are enough to adapt the lure to current conditions.
Finally, its robust construction and quality finishes ensure long-lasting durability. With proper care, the spoon keeps its shine and effectiveness for many sessions, making it a reliable investment for regular fishing outings.
Usage tips
To get the most from the Smith Pure wobbling spoon, pair it with a sensitive rod and a line suited to small and medium predator fishing. A steady retrieve punctuated with brief pauses makes full use of its natural action. During pauses the spoon flutters as it falls, imitating a wounded fish drifting and often provoking strikes.
In rivers, cast slightly upstream or slightly downstream and let the spoon work in the current while maintaining constant contact with the lure. In lakes or still waters, vary depth by allowing more or less sink time before starting the retrieve. Alternating sawtooth animations with slow or fast linear retrieves helps adapt to fish behavior and conditions.
Don't hesitate to try different sizes and weights within the range to match depth, current strength and target species. Switching to a different model in the same spoon family can be enough to provoke the decisive strike.
