Madness Bakuree Shad 110 Soft Lure - 10 cm

Product highlights

The Madness Bakuree Shad 110 is a soft predator lure developed to target wary, educated fish, especially zander. Its design focuses on a very fluid swimming action at low speed, making it a formidable ally when bites are scarce and predators respond only to the most natural presentations.

With its very mobile shad profile, the Bakuree Shad generates strong vibration while remaining stable, even with light weights. This combination produces a pronounced roll and a highly expressive tail without needing to speed up the retrieve. That allows anglers to stay longer in the fish-holding zone—a decisive advantage for finesse fishing.

Its soft texture is engineered to balance durability and suppleness. The lure comes to life quickly with just a few turns of the reel or a slight vertical twitch, while withstanding repeated predator strikes. When mounted on appropriate jigheads it tracks straight and maintains a steady swim even in moderate currents.

Versatile, the Bakuree Shad excels both on slow steady retrieves and in vertical fishing. Used on fine lines, it presents a realistic and discreet profile—ideal to persuade the most selective fish. This adaptability makes it a benchmark zander soft lure for technical anglers as well as occasional anglers seeking improved results.

Advantages and key strengths

The primary asset of the Madness Bakuree Shad 110 is its ability to swim correctly even with light ballast. Where other lures require added weight or speed to activate, this model retains a broad and consistent action, allowing the use of lighter rigs and much finer approaches—particularly appreciated for zander, which can be very picky.

Its profile is designed to reduce missed hookups and optimize hook penetration. When positioned correctly on the jighead, the shad leaves enough room for the hook, promoting penetration into the hard mouths of predators while ensuring good lure retention. Strikes are generally solid and well felt on rods suited for steady retrieves or vertical fishing.

Another major advantage is its great versatility. The Bakuree Shad soft lure performs equally well in rivers, lakes or quarries. It is effective for shoreline prospecting, on drop-offs, flats, the tops of structures or holes, adapting simply by choosing the right jighead. This adaptability makes it a reliable go-to lure to keep in your box.

Finally, the Bakuree Shad suits both experienced anglers, who will exploit its subtlety to refine their approaches, and beginners who want a versatile soft lure that is easy to use. Its readable and attractive swim quickly teaches how to work it to get the best from its capabilities.

Usage tips

To exploit the full potential of the Madness Bakuree Shad 110, pair it with relatively light jigheads, adjusting weight to depth and current. The goal is to maintain a slow, controlled fall so zander and other predators have time to take the lure. Fine, discreet lines with a leader suited to conditions will further enhance the rig’s effectiveness.

On slow steady retrieves, favor slow animations punctuated with pauses, small releases, or light rod twitches to vary the action. At each regain of contact the shad's tail reactivates instantly, often triggering the strike. In vertical fishing, work it with small lifts and controlled drops to keep it close to the bottom or at the precise depth of fish located by sonar.

Don’t hesitate to spend time on promising spots: marked drop-offs, structure tops, current inlets or holes. The ability of this soft predator lure to remain attractive at low speed pays off on these marks. Vary drift angles, travel speed and swim height to optimize results.
