Soft Lure Wolfcreek Lures Shad - 25 cm - 125 g

Product highlights

When you are looking for a soft shad lure capable of moving real fish, you need more than just a profile: you need presence, action, and a “living” feel from the very first turns of the reel handle. The Wolfcreek Shad 25 was designed exactly for that: a large-format shad with a broad body whose action stays clean and readable, even when you change retrieval speed or angle.

This lure is made from phthalate-free plastisol, chosen to combine softness, elasticity, and tear resistance. The result: a tail that works easily, better long-term durability, and a more responsible approach without sacrificing realism. In the water, it delivers a realistic swimming action with a steady roll and a silhouette that can be spotted from far away, ideal for convincing a follower to attack.

Another great feature: it works with several rigging setups, allowing you to adapt the presentation to depth, current, or fish mood without changing lures. This is exactly the kind of shad you reach for when you want to “sort through” fish and target clear strikes.

Benefits and key product advantages

A big shad for big fish: with its 25 cm size, the Wolfcreek Shad 25 naturally targets opportunistic predators. It lets you fish “less, but better,” focusing on spots that hold dominant fish.

Reliable swimming action: the lure’s behavior is designed to remain consistent across rigging styles and retrieval speeds. In a straight retrieve, it moves plenty of water and keeps a regular rhythm. On speed changes or restarts, it continues to “come alive” without losing its action, helping trigger strikes during acceleration.

Rigging versatility: depending on the depth you want to target, you can use screw-in weight systems and a harness (release harness) to secure the hook hold, or choose a more shallow presentation with a shallow screw. This flexibility is invaluable when you need to adapt quickly to weed beds, flats, drop-offs, and shoreline edges.

Clean finish: visual details, including 3D eyes, strengthen the illusion, especially in clear water or when fish take their time to inspect the lure. It is a real plus for difficult bites.

A more responsible choice: the phthalate-free formulation and the attention paid to recyclable packaging are part of a more mindful approach, without making the lure a compromise.

Usage tips

To get the best from the Wolfcreek Shad 25, start with a simple approach, then fine-tune:

• Slow to moderate steady retrieve: excellent for letting the shad show its natural swim, especially along edges, over shallow areas, and above weed beds.
• Stop-and-go: add short pauses to trigger a reflex strike. Many hits come on the restart.
• Depth adjustment: tune the weight (and rig) to run just above the zone where fish are holding, instead of fishing “at random.”
• Leader: for pike fishing, a bite-proof leader is essential, and a harness/stinger can improve hookup rates.

Tip: keep an eye on follows. If fish follow without biting, change speed, add a pause, or make a slightly oblique path to break the line and trigger an attack.

FAQ

Question 1: Which fish is the Wolfcreek Shad 25 best suited for?

Answer: It is the perfect pike lure, and it also works for musky and other large predatory fish depending on the waters you fish.

Question 2: Can it be fished in shallow water?

Answer: Yes. By choosing a shallow rig and a slow retrieve, you can make it move above weed beds or over flats without constantly snagging.

Question 3: Is a harness (stinger) always necessary?

Answer: It is not mandatory, but on a large-format shad, a harness can increase hookup rates, especially when fish strike short.

Question 4: What does phthalate-free plastisol change in use?

Answer: It makes it possible to get a soft, elastic material for great swimming action while avoiding certain plasticizers. You gain in feel and durability, with a more responsible approach.
