Product advantages
Designed for eging enthusiasts, the YAMASHITA EGI SUTTE 2.3 015 BAM squid jig delivers a natural and consistent presentation in most coastal conditions. Its slim, perfectly balanced body ensures a stable fall that remains attractive even when squids and cuttlefish are wary.
Thanks to its compact size 2.3, this versatile jig excels in shallow areas, from harbors to small rocky points. The 015 BAM color is engineered to remain visible in varied light conditions, quickly attracting cephalopods while keeping a natural appearance.
The multi-prong hook crown, particularly sharp, secures the subtlest takes and reduces hook losses at the strike. Combined with precise animation, the YAMASHITA EGI SUTTE 2.3 becomes a formidable tool to trigger strikes from both active squid and lethargic individuals holding near the bottom.

Benefits and highlights
The YAMASHITA EGI SUTTE 2.3 015 BAM stands out for its ease of control, even for beginner anglers. Its fall—neither too fast nor too slow—lets you methodically prospect each water layer by simply varying pause duration. This precise control is a major asset to entice following squid that hesitate before striking.
Its slim profile reduces water resistance and facilitates short, jerky twitches followed by very natural gliding phases. This combination of impulses and suspensions mimics a small injured fish, a preferred target for hunting cephalopods. The ultra-sharp hook crown ensures a firm hold at the slightest contact with the tentacles.
The 015 BAM color was developed to remain visible both in daylight and near harbor lights. This enhanced visibility significantly increases the detection area of the jig, triggering more strikes during evening, night sessions or in stained water.
Usage tips
To get the most from the EGI SUTTE 2.3 015 BAM, cast slightly diagonally to the current, let the jig fall to the desired depth, then animate with series of two to three sharp jerks followed by a pause of a few seconds. Watch the rod tip closely: many strikes occur during the gliding phase.
In harbors or along breakwaters, focus around breaks, rock piles and lit areas where small fish congregate. In shallow depths near rocky points, alternate fast animations and long pauses to locate active squid. Don’t hesitate to vary cadence and stroke amplitude until you find the rhythm that triggers attacks.
Use a discreet, tidy leader and avoid overly violent animations at the end of the fight to limit hook losses near the surface. The consistent swimming action of the YAMASHITA squid jig helps maintain steady tension even when cephalopods follow the jig towards the surface.
