Product highlights
The Wolfcreek Shad 15 cm is a soft shad lure designed to cover a wide range of predator fishing situations, from shore or from a boat. Its versatile size casts a broad net and is aimed at anglers looking for a reliable shad that is easy to rig and capable of triggering hard strikes both when fish are active and when they are cautious.
Part of the production series of Wolfcreek Lures' iconic shad, it captures the spirit and swimming action of the original handcrafted model, with a refined finish. Realism is enhanced by natural-looking 3D eyes, a detail that helps the lure look like real prey, especially in clear water or around educated fish.
The material is a soft, stretchable plastisol and is advertised phthalate-free. This flexibility promotes smooth action and an attractive swim, while the elasticity improves durability against repeated attacks, an appreciated advantage when the bites come fast or when a pike's teeth test your tackle.

Benefits and product strengths
The strength of this shad lies in its ability to maintain effective swimming action regardless of the rig chosen. On a jig head, it becomes a dependable choice for methodically covering drop-offs, moderate current zones, or mixed bottoms. Rigged Texas/offset, it lets you fish snaggy areas with greater confidence. With a shallow screw, it is ideal for very shallow presentations, useful above weed beds or over flats.
This versatility is matched by a consistently high-quality feel: the lure is designed to deliver stable, coherent action on a steady retrieve as well as with bursts of speed and pauses. The result is a predator lure with broad appeal, capable of tempting pike, sander, muskie, and many other opportunistic predators.
Finally, the balance between softness and durability makes the Wolfcreek Shad pleasant to use every day. It is easy to handle, quick to rig, and maintains solid performance when you change setups during a session to adapt to depth, wind, or fish behavior.
Usage tips
For fast searching, use a steady retrieve and adjust the speed to find the pace that triggers bites. When activity slows down, alternate between a linear retrieve and short pauses: the shad keeps working and can provoke a strike as it starts moving again.
For versatile rigging, a screw-in weight paired with a quick-release harness is an interesting option, especially if you want to optimize lure security and hooking performance. In very shallow water, a shallow screw rig helps keep the presentation above obstacles and vegetation.
Be sure to match hook size and weight to the spot and target species, while keeping the lure free to swim naturally. Rinse and dry your tackle after fishing, then store your soft lures away from heat to preserve their flexibility.
