Key strengths and benefits of the YAMASHITA IKA METAL LEADER SHORT TYPE: Thanks to rigorous design, this leader offers a highly realistic presentation of lures, triggering squid’s natural curiosity even in heavily fished areas. Its increased strength reduces breakage risk during fights with strong specimens, while the optimized rigging ensures faster response to subtle bites so you don’t miss opportunities. The pre-rigged setup simplifies line preparation—a valuable asset for night sessions or windy conditions.

Usage tips and recommended rigs: Use your YAMASHITA IKA METAL LEADER SHORT TYPE with a heavy Armer-type squid jig attached to the lower snap to target squid hiding near the bottom. On the arms, place an unweighted turlutte (non-weighted squid fly) to vary lure action and target other zones in the water column. Prefer slow, precise animations suited to the Ika Metal technique to provoke strike reactions. This leader adapts perfectly to all styles: vertical jigging, drifting or anchored fishing.
