The DUO Spearhead Ryuki 60 S is a river trout lure engineered to entice the wariest predators. The size of a small minnow, this minnow lure features a slim, naturally imitative profile that provokes strikes where other lures fail. Its compact body maintains excellent stability even in strong currents, while preserving a lively, nervous action.
Designed for prospecting small to medium rivers, it excels in areas combining riffles, pronounced currents and shallow holes. Its ability to hold line without veering or sliding gives anglers precise control over the trajectory, essential to present the lure close to trout lies.
The Ryuki 60 S performs perfectly with jerk and twitch animations. Each rod twitch triggers tight lateral darts and cadence changes that stimulate the predator instinct. This responsiveness makes it an excellent choice when trout are wary, and also effective for fast, powerful fish like asps in rivers.
Thanks to its versatility, this hard trout lure fits many situations: upstream or downstream fishing, controlled drifts, prospecting edges, breaks and current heads. It suits both experienced anglers and those looking to step up with a technical, reliable and efficient model.

Advantages and strengths
The main strength of the Ryuki 60 S is its ability to maintain a clean action where the current is strongest. Many lures lose track or flutter uncontrollably in these conditions, whereas this model holds a tight trajectory—highly valued when fishing powerful current seams where large trout often station.
Its imitative size is a major asset on educated fish. The lure resembles a small forage fish, making it convincing year-round, whether sweeping shallow edges or fishing deeper seams in the main current. This "go-anywhere" capability simplifies the angler's choice, allowing coverage of a wide range of lies with a single model.
The animation is intuitive: a simple straight retrieve already lets the DUO Spearhead Ryuki 60 S trout lure display an attractive action. Adding a few jerks, twitches or pauses makes it deadly on following or finicky fish, often triggering a bite in the last meters of the retrieve.
Another advantage is that its effectiveness is not limited to trout. In sectors frequented by asps or other river predators, its nervy action and streamlined silhouette provoke violent strikes in open water. It meets anglers' expectations for a versatile river lure capable of targeting multiple species without constantly changing rigs.
Usage tips
To get the most from the DUO Spearhead Ryuki 60 S, adapt your retrieve to the type of lie. In current heads, a steady retrieve with the rod tip low helps hold the line and maintain contact with the lure while benefiting from its tight action. On edges and slower zones, alternate slow retrieves with short rod twitches to create rhythm changes.
In medium rivers, don't hesitate to fish across or slightly downstream to exploit the lure's natural drift. Let the lure work a controlled "falling leaf" by following the line, then animate with a few short pulls to mimic a panicked baitfish. This approach is particularly effective on trout posted behind obstacles or on bottom breaks.
On wary fish, consider using a lighter line or lengthening the leader to gain stealth and let the lure perform naturally. A relatively tight retrieve, punctuated with short pauses, often convinces following fish that hesitate to strike until the last moment.
